Life is Not Always Easy- Motivation in business
0How do we keep motivation in business and stay positive about our life? I am going to shot straight with you, its hard to be motivated about your business, when you have three kids at your feet begging for your attention and quite frankly I want to put everything aside and play with them. They are my world and my future to mold, I want them to know that there mom puts them first. Sadly that doesn’t put food on the table and money in my bank. It is hard to stay positive in a business you hear “No” a lot. What are we supposed to do, manage our time wisely? Plan for failure? Work hard? Well I’m doing that, what now?
It’s times like these I love to remember the Proverbs 31 wife, now she was God’s great example of an incredible women, in fact so incredible I will never live up to her standards. “The heart of her husband safely trust her, So he will have no lack of gain, She does him good and not evil all the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax, and willingly works with her hands. She is like the merchant ships, she brings her food from afar. She also rises while it is yet night, and provides food for her household, and a portion for her maidservants. She considers a field and buys it; from her profits she plants a vineyard. She grids herself with strength and strengthens her arms,……. She extends her hands to the poor, she reaches her hands to the needy…..She makes tapestry for herself; Her clothing is fine linen and purple. Her husband is known at the gates,….. She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies sashes for the merchants. Strength and honor our her clothing, She opens her mouth with wisdom, and her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household,….. Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also and praises her; Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a women who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.” (Proverbs 31)
What bad thing can be said about this women except that she sounds exhausted! I want to be more like her. I want to go out and make the right business decisions that only affect me positively. I want my peers around me to think positively about me always. I want to always look my best and put my best foot forward. I want my family to call me blessed. I want people to want to listen when I speak because I full of wisdom and not foolishness. How do you do that? Easy Pray, Pray that God has a hand in your company and that you are being talked about by those around you positively, Pray that you are making the right decisions for your family and not just you. Pray that God can bless you and your business in ways that will add to your territory. Read I Chronicles 4:10, Call upon the Lord saying, “Oh, that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that your hand will be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!”. Prayer works!!! Let me know how we can pray for you!

How to get support before starting your business, – Advise for new businesses
1In the past few weeks I seem to be hearing the same advise about starting a new business, I come to you knowing that I have and have not followed it. When I didn’t follow the advise, my business failed and I didn’t have the support of my family. I am a person that loves to just jump in, you know sink or swim, I have done a lot of sinking before I started to swim. Owning a business is a big deal and should be taken very seriously. Any kind of business that you invest your own money into should motivate you to want to succeed. I have advise for new businesses and there owners, take it for what it is, business women wishing they would have listened.
Number 1- Seek wise counsel, go to someone in that field and ask them the pro’s and Con’s of that business, that company. Ask them what they like and don’t like about the company. Ask them how much money there making and how long it took them to get to that point. If they cant or wont answer those questions, WALK AWAY. Go to someone you trust, someone who has a business or some kind of investment and seek there opinion, find out if they think you are making a foolish move or not. Don’t go to that one person who thinks everything you do is foolish, that wont help! There are people out there who have small businesses, get to know them, find out what works and what doesn’t work.
Number 2- Find out the kind of person you are. Are you a people person, do you like to sell, do you like to talk, do you like to build, do you like to lead, do you like to type, do you like to dress up, do you like to stay home, do you like to be out, do you like to be on the phone, or on the computer. Ask yourself questions like that to narrow down the type of business you can handle. Trust me, if you don’t like to be around people and talk, a Home Party Business is not for you, you need a computer base business.
Number 3- Set Obtainable goals, I know I have said that before but it holds true. If you don’t set goals for yourself or for your business you will go no where. Think about all the times you have gone on a diet and failed. Most likely you didn’t set yourself an obtainable goal. Wanting to loose fifty pounds is a great long term goal, but how do you get there? OK to reach my fifty pound goal I want to loose five pounds every week for the next ten weeks and I am going to do it by two means, first eat no carbs for three weeks, second drink nothing but water all ten weeks, etc., etc… You break down every step of your potential success and when you reach that goal reward yourself! It will make owning a business a lot more fun and exciting because every goal you meet gets you that much closer to obtaining you main goal and obtaining success!!
Number 4- Plan for failure. Knowing that everything isn’t going to go your way exactly will make the failure that much easier to deal with and that much easier to move on from. Just because you fail at something doesn’t mean you should give up and throw in the towel. There is a reason one of the most famous quotes is “persistence pays”. Don’t give up, remember “Roam wasn’t built in a day”, so any great business won’t be born over night or even in a year!! Hold on and remember that your hard work and dedication will pay off.

Lets Make Money, Together! – setting business goals
0The new year can bring on so many promise’s and resolutions!! Setting business goals is one of them. I wondering whats yours? What are you going to allow your self to do or to be this year in you Home Party Business?
As a business mom, I can assure you at the top of my list is going to be my family and making sure they know how much I love them and how much they mean to me! I want them to feel treasured and know their “love tank” is full. My family will always come first and its important to make sure to let them know that.
As a business women, I want to make more money this year and get my business more established. I have a few things to help us stay focused and reach our goals together for the new year.
First off you need to sit and write your goals out. Allow yourself two hours of brain storming, have a note pad, figure out exactly what you want out of your business and what kind of success you want to achieve this year. Does your company have levels of success that you aspire to be on? I was working at a company that gave Mercedes Benz’ away at a certain level of success, I wanted it! At the time, I didn’t allow myself to dream that big, I just wanted to make a few extra hundred dollars!! By writing down your goals and setting them in place, you allow yourself a framework of what you want out of your Home Party Business specifically. Make your goal attainable in your time table of success. Make sure your goals are relevant to what you are doing at the time, if your goal is to run the company some day, great, but not realistic for the first year. I want you to dream that big, I want you to be successful!! I want you to realize that there is a spot for you in your company. You have the right to be as successful, if not more, than the person who signed you up!!
Value yourself and don’t underestimation what you can do and be, invest in your business and in yourself!! One way to do that is advertise and drive new business to your doorstep without even having to try. I like to say make your self “googleable”, set yourself apart from your competition by being on-line with everything, Facebook, twitter and emails!
Work with your team (up team or down team), not against them!! Help your team by coming up with new ideas and plans to be more successful together. Try a teleclass seminar as a team! Barb will help your team as a whole drive more business, and I will bring you the secrets of people I know to get you to that next level!
Now go make your list and try to remember the big picture in each little step you take to be more successful! Post this list were you can see it daily and stay motivated! Keep me posted on your success!
More Business Please.- How to find new clients
2So many times we find ourselves in need of new clientele, whether we’ve moved or just gone through all our friends, here are four step on how to find new clients.
I am a military wife with four moves under my belt in eight years, moving is second nature for me as for starting over in my business. I understand the frustrations of starting from scratch and know that life would be so much easier if we were to find our little cottage and white picket fence and stay put, but that isn’t the case. In fact I love moving, I love meeting new people and getting to know new areas. This is not true for some of my other military girlfriends. Moving is such a stressful time and having to start over is not ideal but you have two choices, you can drown yourself in sorrow or you make it work for you!!
Here are a few way’s to making “it” work for you if you have just moved or in need of new clients.
Step 1: Business Cards:
You must get a good business card, They are vital to good networking in public. People will remember you easier if you pass something along. A unique business card will help you set yourself apart and allow people to remember who you are and what you do. Your picture on the card will help them put a face with the name. Go Here and they will set you up with some awesome business cards.
Step 2: Don’t wait to have Home Party:
What I mean by that is plan your own Home party!! When you are meeting new people, hand out your business cards with the time of the party and place, at your house, a neighborhood club house, at a park, almost anywhere you want! Invite everyone you meet. On the back of your card put your meeting date and time. Easy and can be very effective! If you are just looking for a new crowd of people this same method can work for you, pass along your card at the grocery store, church, parks, gym, the more you put out there the more likely you are to get business.
Step 3: Partner Up:
This works if your new to the area or just looking for a different venue of clients. Find someone to get excited with you!! If you have a partner you have someone keeping you accountable and motivated and that’s important when you want to be successful. Your probably thinking how will that work if were selling the same thing? Well, if you are you can work out a system that one party you get all the profit and the next the other or split everything. Make sure you trust the completely if you do something like that and that they want what you want out of the business!! Or, partner up with someone completely different like a gold rep (more about this later, or e-mail me for any inquires about it) that can add to your business success.
Step 4: Inspire your self:
Try to remember that you choose this business, and remember why you choose it. Get motivated about your job, there are so few jobs that you get to be your own boss and make your own hours and you have one of them. Count it a blessing that you can have the flexibility to be the mom and/or student and/or single woman and work however much you want!! That is something to be proud of, you are out making money for you and your family! When you are motivated about your business and what your doing, your clients will be too.
For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)
What Not To Say When Selling – 3 Weak Word Choices by Barb Girson
0We need to know what not to say when selling cause lets face it we are all in sales, just embrace it. Selling is providing a service, sharing information and issuing an invitation.
A sale is both an art and a science. Even very successful women have hang ups when it comes to ‘sales’ and ‘selling’. No one likes to be thought of as too sales-y. Plus, no one likes feeling sold and most of all no one wants to sell out to achieve success.
Women often get concerned about what I call the ‘P’ Sales Plagues that truly block Profit Potential:
- Fear of being P-U-S-H-Y
- Pessimism Of Possibly hearing NO
- Paralyzed By the Pursuit of Perfection
Because my success was not without struggle and I understand the ‘sales’ discomfort; I can now help companies, sales teams and entrepreneurs to define an authentic sales strategy that works. When we are comfortable in our own [selling] skin, we put others at ease.
Often in our effort to disguise our own sales discomfort, we create more of it. I recently observed where this insight proved true. Instead of hearing inspiration or excitement from the seller, I noticed the use of weak word choices. The following is a summary of what not to say when selling a product, program, membership or service:

Confidence, Do you have it?- The importance of confidence
0When you see someone you like you think wow I like that. When you see a purse you like you say wow I want that. When you see a great business opportunity in front of you, you think wow can I do that? YES YOU CAN!!! I want to share with you the importance of confidence.
Confidence is the key to being successful and driving in new business!! If you believe in yourself and your product, people will too! Think about the person that got you to sign up, something they said or did made you want to join in to be apart of “THAT”!! You wanted to be apart of what that person was doing and you wanted what that person was selling!! Think about the “Thing” that sold you!! What drives me the most is a persons confidence in there product and self. If I go to a party and they aren’t dressed nice and don’t have much info about the product, I don’t buy even if I like what they are offering! I buy product because someone else believes in them and can vouch for the product. I buy into the confidence that people have in the product.
Think about it this way……. I am selling makeup, and I show up at your house in old jeans, a t-shirt and no make-up. I set up what little product I have and prepare for people to show up. when they arrive I am tired and cant really take control of the surroundings. When I do get a chance to talk about my product I don’t have much info about it. What’s you initial reaction…. (comment’s accepted below, please) For me it’s “wow, this person doesn’t care at all about my party”, and two “I am embarrassed to have my friends come over and see this”.
When you go to someones house you are not only selling something out of a catalog or off your table, you are selling yourself and your business!! You are representing the person who’s house you are at! Your confidence is like a great chocolate cake, people will want a piece of it!!!
Always put you best foot forward, you cant take back the first impression, make it remember-able! Always, Always think about what your clients will want and get it for them to try!
